Nicer weather

The weather has been great the past few days in Va Beach. Joseph has enjoyed getting outside and playing in our driveway and yard! We'll probably head to the park tomorrow!

Joseph's body parts

Joseph has been able to skype with his daddy everyday since he's been gone for safety school in FL. He LOVES seeing his daddy on the computer! It's been great being able to talk and see him daily and Joseph always comes running when he hears Joe calling us on the computer. Sometimes I'll ask him, "Do you want to call daddy on the computer?" and he runs to the laptop and waits patiently for daddy to answer the call! We also recorded Joe reading several books to Joseph on our video camera before he left. Joseph sits so still and watches the video of daddy (it's only a 5 minute session of Joe reading 3 books to him) and he immediately does his sign language for "more" when the video is over. Sometimes we have to watch it 3 times before J is satisfied! :) Joe has another 2 weeks of school and we look forward to having him home soon so we can all welcome our new little princess to the family!

Surprise Baby Shower

The playgroup that Joseph and I belong to hosted a surprise baby shower for me and 3 other moms in our group that are all due soon with baby #2! It was such a wonderful shower and I really enjoyed spending time with my mommy friends! The girl on the far right just had her 2nd baby boy this week! The girl standing next to me is due in another week with a baby boy and the blonde mom is due a week before me with a little girl! It was so nice of our playgroup to all get together, pitch in, and have a shower for us.

There are 10 moms in our playgroup that are pregnant with baby #2 right now! 2 of them didn't attend this shower, but here is a pic of 8 of us! I have really enjoyed spending my weeks this past year with this wonderful group of moms and little ones! Joseph loves getting out of the house each week and seeing his friends, and I love chatting with all the other moms! I think it's great that so many of us are having our 2nd babies close together so they can be friends too!

Two of the moms got together and made these beautiful cupcakes. They looked and tasted like they came from a bakery!

My friend Jamie in our group lives right down the street from me. She's recently started a small business of making cakes and cookies and boy does she do a great job! The girl's got talent! She made these adorable cookies for the shower!

Major milestone day!

Today I am proud to be 33 weeks pregnant and feeling great! This is a big milestone for me because Joseph was born the day I turned 33 weeks pregnant with him. He weighed 4 lb 10 oz at birth and it's hard to imagine that my little girl is possibly weighing that much inside me right now! I have managed to have a healthy pregnancy so far and have stayed away from bed rest!!!! We continue to be so very thankful and hope that baby girl will stay inside at least for another month until her daddy comes back home from FL!

Yesterday a Navy wife friend of mine who is also a photographer took some maternity pictures of me at Norfolk Botanical Gardens. She is editing them now and I can't wait to see how they turn out! I will post some when I get my hands on them!
